Linebacker Shemar James leads a talented group of veterans who will be instrumental in turning around a faltering Gators defense as Florida gets ready for a pivotal 2024 campaign. “I’m doing a lot of mentoring since I can’t physically be out there doing it,” James said on Saturday. “So I’m coaching up Myles [Graham], ‘Pup’ [Grayson Howard], those guys. Make sure that their swords are sharp.” James returned to the field nearly five months after his premature season ending and participated in part of the team’s first two spring practices while wearing a black non-contact jersey.
