
BREAKING NEWS: Federal Court Sentences Alabama Man to 10 Years in Disturbing Child Pornography Case
A federal judge has sentenced a Silverhill, Alabama man to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of possessing child pornography, including disturbing and illegal content. The man had previously been convicted of attempted sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.
The investigation, led by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI, uncovered more than 2,500 images and 300 videos of child sexual exploitation on the man’s electronic devices. The case began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
In addition to his prison term, the man will serve 20 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. He is also required to participate in treatment programs and will be subject to strict monitoring conditions.
This case was prosecuted under the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, which focuses on protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse.
