Francona did not provide a timeline on Sam Moll who was placed on the injured list on Monday with left shoulder impingement.
When Stephenson returns, it should provide another boost for the struggling offense.
When Rhett Lowder and Wade Miley get healthy, it could force some difficult decisions, as Cincinnati’s starting rotation has the second-best ERA in Major League Baseball.
