The University of Alabama recently honored legendary football coach Nick Saban with a second statue along the Walk of Champions at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This new addition commemorates his remarkable contributions to the Crimson Tide football program.([Tide 100.9][1])
The unveiling ceremony took place on April 16, 2011, during the university’s annual A-Day spring football game. The bronze statue was created by then-UA student Jeremy Davis and stands alongside those of other national championship-winning coaches: Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Paul “Bear” Bryant, and Gene Stallings. The statue depicts Coach Saban in a dynamic “clapping hands” pose, reflecting his active coaching style and leadership on the field.
