Philadelphia, May 9, 2025 — A sudden outbreak of gunfire turned a bustling city street into a scene of terror this afternoon, leaving 12 people injured and prompting a massive emergency response.
The attack began without warning around 3:45 PM, as multiple shots rang out near Market Street in Center City. Witnesses described a wave of panic spreading instantly, with people screaming, running for cover, and storefronts slamming shut.
