NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released a statement calling the incident “a tragic day for the entire NFL family” and confirmed that league resources will be deployed to assist in recovery efforts.
As the city reels from the shock, grief counselors and emergency support services have been made available to stadium staff and families of the victims. A public vigil is being organized at Fountain Square this evening to honor those lost.
