Detroit Lions’ Alex Anzalone Nears Return After Broken Forearm
Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone is progressing toward a return to the field after suffering a broken left forearm during a Week 11 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The injury initially sidelined him for six to eight weeks, but recent developments suggest he may be ready to contribute sooner than expected.
Anzalone has been participating in walkthrough practices, and Lions head coach Dan Campbell expressed optimism about his recovery. “He’ll be out there running around,” Campbell said. “We’ll see how he does. (Thursday) will be a big day for us to see where he’s at.”
The Lions are hopeful that Anzalone’s return will bolster their defense as they approach a critical stretch of games. His leadership and experience are expected to provide a significant boost to the team’s defensive unit.
As of now, Anzalone’s status for the upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings remains uncertain, but his continued progress is a positive sign for the Lions’ defensive prospects.
