The Los Angeles Dodgers secured an 8-5 win over the New York Yankees in the opening game of the Fall Classic rematch. A four-run sixth inning perfectly executed by the Dodgers gave L.A. the lead.
Starting shortstop Mookie Betts will not be available this weekend because of a fractured toe, so the Dodgers have penciled in Hyeseong KIm as the infield quarterback for Saturday’s contest. Miguel Rojas got the start at shortstop Friday.
The Dodgers lineup will face Yankees right-handed pitcher Will Warren on the mound. This season, Warren is 3-2 with a 4.09 ERA and 67 strikeouts.
