Men’s Race: Dan Green Breaks the Tape in Record Time

West Virginia native Dan Green clinched victory with a blistering time of 58 hours, 47 minutes, and 18 seconds, setting a new men’s course record. His performance surpassed the previous record of 59:50:55, held by Haroldas Subertas since 2024. Rachel Entrekin, a seasoned ultrarunner from the United States, dominated the women’s field with a time of 63 hours, 50 minutes, and 55 seconds, establishing a new women’s course record. This performance eclipsed the previous record of 73:31:25, also held by Entrekin from her 2024 victory. Her consistent pacing and strategic race management were key factors in her success.

Runners face a cumulative elevation change of approximately 40,667 feet of gain and 35,674 feet of loss, navigating through diverse terrains including deserts, canyons, and pine forests.

Looking Ahead

The 2025 Cocodona 250 Mile race has set a new benchmark in ultramarathon history, with both the men’s and women’s course records now held by American runners.
