CHEERS: Florida Gators’ Tim Tebow Inducted into the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame

 

In a momentous celebration for the University of Florida and its devoted fanbase, former Gators quarterback Tim Tebow was officially inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. This honor recognizes his exceptional contributions to college football and his enduring legacy both on and off the field.

 

Tebow’s collegiate career is marked by remarkable achievements. He became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and led the Gators to two BCS National Championships in 2006 and 2008. Over his four-year tenure, Tebow set five NCAA records, 14 Southeastern Conference (SEC) records, and 28 University of Florida records. His leadership and athletic prowess were instrumental in Florida’s impressive 48-7 record during his time with the team.

 

Beyond his on-field accomplishments, Tebow’s commitment to academics and community service further distinguished him. He was a three-time Academic All-American and received the William V. Campbell Trophy, often referred to as the “Academic Heisman,” in 2009. His philanthropic efforts, particularly through the Tim Tebow Foundation, have had a lasting impact on numerous communities.

 

The induction ceremony took place during the 65th National Football Foundation Annual Awards Dinner on December 5, 2025, at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
