Huge WR Addition! FSU Signs 6’6″ USC Transfer Duce Robinson

Florida State University has bolstered its receiving corps with the addition of former USC wide receiver Duce Robinson, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound playmaker and Seminole legacy. Robinson, who spent two seasons with the Trojans, brings a wealth of experience and potential to the Seminoles’ offense.

A Legacy Return

Robinson’s decision to transfer to FSU is deeply personal. He is the son of Dominic Robinson, a former Seminoles wide receiver who played from 2001 to 2004. Dominic recorded 680 receiving yards and two touchdowns during his tenure at FSU, and Duce grew up immersed in the Seminoles’ football culture .

Impressive College Career

During his time at USC, Robinson showcased his talents on the field. In 2024, he appeared in 12 games, making five starts, and recorded 23 receptions for 396 yards and five touchdowns. His standout performance came against Nebraska, where he caught four passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. As a true freshman in 2023, he contributed 16 receptions for 351 yards and two touchdowns .

Versatility and Potential

Robinson’s size and athleticism make him a formidable threat on the field. His 19.2 yards-per-catch average ranks among the top nationally, highlighting his ability to make explosive plays . FSU head coach Mike Norvell praised Robinson as “one of the most unique and explosive playmakers in the country,” emphasizing his versatility and field-stretching capabilities .

A Bright Future for FSU

With two years of eligibility remaining, Robinson is poised to make an immediate impact at FSU. His addition strengthens the Seminoles’ receiving corps and adds depth to their offensive lineup. As FSU prepares for the upcoming season, Robinson’s blend of experience, size, and skill set positions him as a key player in the Seminoles’ quest for success.
