BREAKING TRAGEDY: Car Bomb Strikes Palm Springs Fertility Clinic — 2 Dead, Several Injured

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Tragedy struck Saturday morning when a car bomb exploded outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, killing two people and injuring several others in what authorities are now calling a terrorist attack.

The explosion occurred just before 11 a.m. at the American Reproductive Centers, sending shockwaves through the surrounding area. The suspected bomber, 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus of Twentynine Palms, died at the scene. One other person was also confirmed dead, and at least four others were hospitalized with injuries.

According to the FBI, Bartkus held extreme anti-natalist and nihilistic views, believing people should not procreate. He reportedly attempted to livestream the bombing and left behind a manifesto outlining his motivations.

Despite the blast’s intensity, emergency responders were able to save vital materials inside the clinic, including embryos stored in a temperature-controlled IVF lab. Firefighters and FBI agents acted swiftly and risked their lives to secure the area and protect critical infrastructure.

“This was an act of domestic terrorism,” FBI officials said during a press briefing. Investigators are now reviewing Bartkus’s digital footprint and personal connections to determine whether he acted alone.

Palm Springs officials and California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the attack, offering support to the victims and praising the bravery of first responders.

The FBI is urging anyone with information about the bombing to come forward as the investigation continues.
