Panthers Fan Survey Results: ‘Wait and See’ on Bryce Young, Tepper Gets Failing Grades
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — May 26, 2025 — Carolina Panthers fans are cautiously optimistic about the future of quarterback Bryce Young, but team owner David Tepper continues to face harsh criticism, according to the results of a recent fan survey.
In the annual Panthers fan poll conducted by The Charlotte Observer, more than 60% of respondents expressed a “wait and see” attitude toward Young, who is entering his third season after being drafted first overall in 2023. Fans cited inconsistent offensive line play, coaching changes, and lack of weapons as major factors that have hindered his development so far.
“Bryce still has potential,” said one fan in the survey. “But he needs stability and real support around him. It’s too early to write him off.”
Despite flashes of talent, Young’s NFL journey has been rocky, including a tumultuous rookie season and the team’s continued struggles on offense. However, his professionalism and work ethic remain appreciated by fans who believe the jury is still out.
On the other hand, the approval ratings for team owner David Tepper have hit rock bottom. Nearly 80% of fans gave Tepper failing marks, pointing to poor decision-making, frequent coaching turnover, and a lack of clear direction for the franchise.
“This is a leadership issue,” one respondent wrote. “The constant resets and chaos start at the top.”
Since acquiring the team in 2018, Tepper has overseen multiple head coach changes and only one winning season, leaving many fans frustrated with the organization’s trajectory.
As the Panthers look to rebuild under new leadership in the front office and coaching staff, fans are demanding more patience with players and less impulsiveness from ownership.
