Breaking news:Olson, Sale Join Acuña in Representing Braves at All-Star Game……

ATLANTA, July 6, 2025– The Braves will shine a bright spotlight on home field this July 15 as three of their stars — Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, and Chris Sale — earn spots on the National League All‑Star roster at Truist Park.
Acuña Jr., the franchise’s electrifying outfielder, earned his fifth All‑Star nod (2019, 2021–2023, 2025) and was voted a starter by fans. Expectations are high as he’ll take center stage at his second Midsummer Classic in Atlanta.
First baseman Matt Olson receives special honors with his third All‑Star selection — second as a Brave. A Lilburn native who attended the 2000 All‑Star festivities at Turner Field, Olson shared, “It’s one of those full‑circle things… being there will be special”. Having rebounded from a slow start, he’s now hitting .267/.857 with 17 homers and driving in 58 runs.
Left-hander Chris Sale makes his ninth All‑Star appearance — second with the Braves ([si.com][3]). Despite being sidelined by fractured ribs since June 18, his dominant stretch beforehand (1.23 ERA over 10 starts) earned him the nod ([si.com][3]). Though unable to pitch, Sale is grateful just to walk the hometown field: “To stand at that line and tip my cap… is special”.
Braves manager Brian Snitker praised the trio: “We haven’t had the best first half… We have three that deserve it”. Indeed, Atlanta hosts the All‑Star Game for the first time since 2000, making it a homecoming to remember.
