As Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns continues his recuperation from shoulder surgery, Joe Flacco offered some guidance.
In a game against the Baltimore Ravens on November 12, Watson had a shoulder injury that ended his season. According to a team release, Watson underwent surgery on November 21 to fix a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right shoulder.
Watson’s injury proved advantageous to Flacco. After Watson was declared out for the season, the Browns called him, and he quickly assumed the starting role. Respected by Watson, Flacco believes that whenever he gets back, it will just be a matter of regaining his confidence. He hasn’t been able to play for an entire year in a few of years. Thus, it’s just a matter of returning to the place where you have complete confidence,” Flacco stated on January 31 when making an appearance on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show. It’s all about being able to fit in for him. Furthermore, I detest speaking for him. However, he is capable of handling it and will correct himself.
Flacco and Watson didn’t frequently overlap. After surgery, Watson spent some time recovering in Los Angeles, but he did go to a few games where Flacco was the quarterback. On December 28, amid the Browns’ blowout of the New York Jets, they had an important conversation. Watson gave Flacco a firm chest bump on the sideline following his highlight-reel 50-yard pass to Jerome Ford.
“I’m not falling for any of that. I can’t do anything because I’m hurt. All people want is something to talk about and say. In December, Watson stated on his podcast “QB Unplugged” that “it’s all personal for them.” “I find this s**t entertaining.”
Watson has been making a lot of effort to return. He recently revealed that he is ahead of schedule on his podcast.
Watson remarked, “Probably another four to five weeks on the front end.” “And then, without a doubt, three more weeks after that. We therefore start throwing between the ages of three and four months, so I would guess April. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to do spring. When we come closer to that, we’ll see.
