After sending so many linemen to the NFL this offseason, Michigan has its first offensive line commit for the 2025 class, with Franklin (Mich.) Wylie E. Groves offensive tackle Avery Gach pledging to the Wolverines this afternoon.

Aside from Michigan, Gach had a robust offer sheet with a multitude of Power 5 institutions to select from. Gach narrowed his options down to Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State before deciding to stay close to home and play for the defending National Champion Michigan Wolverines.

“They treated me well every time I went up for a visit,” Gach stated following his declaration. “You understand, it’s a family vibe. They treat my family very well. They just won the national championship, and you can see how many NFL players they’re generating, particularly on the offensive line. Their entire coaching staff is outstanding. I truly like Coach Moore and Coach Newsome. They handled me well throughout the entire procedure. It feels like home, and I plan to win a National Championship at the University of Michigan.”
