The 24-year-old Danish central midfielder will join City from Norwegian Eliteserien club Sarpsborg 08 for an undisclosed price, subject to international clearance.

Victor has committed to a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Sky Blues, which will last until June 2028.

Torp’s career began with FC Midtjylland in his native Denmark. Following that, he had two loan spells at Fredericia and Lyngby before joining Belgian side KV Kortrijk on loan in the 2021-22 season.

Torp joined with Sarpsborg 08 in June 2022. He scored six goals for Sarpsborg last season in 30 appearances.

Victor has been capped by Denmark in the Under-17 and Under-20 levels.

Victor, an all-action and athletic midfielder, will provide the Sky Blues with both inventiveness and combativeness in the centre of the ground.

Manager Mark Robins explained:

“We are happy to welcome Victor to Coventry City.

“He is a player who provides us both inventiveness and athleticism.

“He may need some time to acclimate, but we are optimistic he will adapt to the intensity and demands of training and the Championship.

“We look forward to working with Victor and him continuing his footballing development with us.”
